Jessica FunNell

Jessica joined the Office of the Vice President for Research in 2024. In her role, Jessica will support the OVPR research centers and institutes in the management of their sponsored research awards.

Jessica has worked at the University of Michigan since 2001 and has served in numerous roles across the research enterprise. From animal care and wet lab management, to protocol development, recruitment, data collection, regulatory management, and monitoring in clinical trials. Jessica’s work is now more focused on post-award management, and budget development.

She completed her Master of Science degree, with a thesis in Neuroscience, from Eastern Michigan University. Her published research was completed in UM’s Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Findlay.
