Vanessa Vinson

As a communications specialist within the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR), Vanessa Vinson collaborates with the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) team to generate increased awareness about how U-M protects the rights and welfare of every individual who participates in human research activity. The U-M HRPP includes the Institutional Review Boards and the Office of Research Compliance Review and encompases university policies governing human subjects research. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic communications plans to generate awareness around essential resources and information that help the university community advance research and scholarship.

Before joining the OVPR in 2023, Vanessa worked as the Marketing and Events Director for the Building Industry Association of Hawaii and as Marketing Manager at Hawaiian Telcom.
