VISION & MISSION

The Office of Public Engagement & Research Impacts (PE+RI) works towards a future where every scholar who desires to translate their research for meaningful societal benefit has the opportunities, tools, resources and skills to do so ethically, equitably and effectively.

To realize this vision, the PE+RI team: 

  • Develops research-based resources and tools that help faculty translate their scholarship and apply it across contexts for societal engagement;
  • Offers professional development, proposal development and collaboration-building opportunities and services that support and celebrate engaged scholars; and
  • Coordinates efforts to align, articulate and amplify the diverse forms of research impact within university-wide initiatives and infrastructures.
