A web-based analytics tool that helps faculty visualize research performance, benchmark relative to peers, develop strategic partnerships across U-M and beyond, identify and analyze emerging research trends, and create uniquely tailored reports.

The Institute for Research on Innovation and Science (IRIS)

Collects record-level administrative data from its member consortium of universities (including U-M) to produce a deidentified dataset for research and reporting that will improve our ability to understand, explain and improve the public value of research.

Altmetric

Altmetric is a web-based tool created that searches the Internet for mentions of research outputs, such as journal articles or book chapters, to show how readers are engaging with scholarly publications online.

The Conversation

A nonprofit, independent news organization dedicated to unlocking the knowledge of experts for the public good. The organization publishes trustworthy and informative articles written by academic experts (from U-M and beyond) for the general public and edited by its team of journalists.

Media Training

The Michigan News team provides media training to faculty and administrators, offering specific guidance on proven techniques to conduct a successful and effective interview.
