As a communications manager in the Office of the Vice President for Research, Wendy Sutton develops and implements communication strategies to increase awareness of research initiatives at the University of Michigan. She supports the Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery & Engineering (MICDE), the AI Institutes at Michigan (AIIM), Impact Institutes, the Great Lakes Energy Accelerator at Michigan (GLEAM), the Quantum Research Institute (QRI) and the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act Office (NAGPRA).

Sutton is a primary contributor to MICDE Magazine, writing articles and designing the publication’s layout. The magazine highlights research and educational advancements in computational science, artificial intelligence and high-performance computing in science and engineering at the University of Michigan. She also regularly contributes articles to Michigan Research, the University of Michigan’s monthly e-newsletter produced by the Office of the Vice President for Research. 

Prior to joining OVPR, Sutton worked as a public relations coordinator supporting six departments in the U-M College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
