Karen Houghtaling

Karen Houghtaling joined the Office of the Vice President for Research in 2018 and is the Associate Director of OVPR Administration. In her role, Karen oversees the administrative affairs of the office and provides executive support to the Vice President for Research and Innovation. She also supports the leadership team and leads a group of executive assistants who support leaders across the research enterprise.

Prior to joining OVPR, Karen served as the Business Manager in the Graham Sustainability Institute for eight years and was in a similar role in the Erb Institute for three years. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University.
