Henry Dyson is the director of our Faculty Honorifics Office. He works with faculty and staff to support nominations for external awards, prizes, fellowships, and prestigious societies and academies.

Henry oversees a growing team building the infrastructure and coordinating strategies for high priority, limited submission nominations as part of the Amplify Initiative.

Henry received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Emory University, was a research fellow and lecturer in U-M’s Departments of Philosophy and Classical Studies from 2005-2009, advised students in the LSA Honors Program for more than a decade, and in 2017 created U-M’s Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships to nominate our students for prestigious undergraduate awards such as the Rhodes, Marshall, and Truman Scholarships.
