Genesis Mission and the University of Michigan
Led by the U.S. Department of Energy, Genesis Mission is a national initiative to “build the world’s most powerful scientific platform to accelerate discovery science, strengthen national security and drive energy innovation.” The initiative will catalyze partnerships across national labs, industry, government agencies and academia to move innovative technologies from research to real-world impact.
The Office of the Vice President for Research’s Office of National Labs, Michigan Institute for Computational Discovery and Engineering (MICDE), and Office of Research Development, along with interdisciplinary institutes across campus – including the AI Institutes at Michigan (AIIM), Michigan Institute for Data and AI in Society (MIDAS), and Quantum Research Institute (QRI) – will be coordinating activities with University of Michigan researchers in preparation for Genesis Mission opportunities.
